About this event

What: Assessing and Managing Suicide Risk [AMSR]: Core Competencies for Health and Behavioral Health Professionals working in Outpatient Settings. This 6-hour virtual training is designed for masters level health and behavioral health professionals that work in out patient settings interested in the latest intersectional suicide care practices. AMSR is an evidence based training that is included in the Zero Suicide Model. For more information visit https://zerosuicide.edc.org/. Trainer: Benjamin Bryan, LCSW

Where: Virtual. A link to training will be provided to you by Deschutes County prior to the training. If you do not receive an e-mail with the virtual training link, or your participant materials by Thursday March 31st, please contact bethany.kuschel@deschutes.org for assistance.

Cost: $135 per participant. Cost includes; virtual training, participant materials including shipping costs, and six APA or NASW Continuing Education Units (CEUs). Please contact Bethany at Bethany.Kuschel@deschutes.org if cost is a barrier for your attendance in this training.

CEU's: This training fulfills core competency CEUs for mental health professionals working towards acquiring licensure. Additionally, this training meets the requirements that all behavioral health counselors in Oregon receives suicide prevention training.

Cancellations and Refunds: Cancellation notifications must be received by March, 10, 2022, 5 p.m. in order to be considered for a full refund. Refunds can only be given when cancellations occur by the deadline and participant materials are returned to Deschutes County. Cancellation notifications should be made by contacting Bethany at Bethany.Kuschel@deschutes.org by the cancellation deadline.

Attendance: You must be able to attend the ENTIRE training from 8am-4pm to be considered AMSR trained and receive the continuing education credits (CEUs).
